Dear Jeanie,
How can I ever learn all that you know about plants? For as long as I can remember you have been busy growing beautiful flowers, plants, veggies, and fruit. You constantly take the time to water, weed, prune, fertilize, and love your plants.
I am always amazed at your knowledge of plants and trees. You can tell me the names of almost any plant there is. I love this about you. I love walking in a beautiful garden and thinking of you, and thinking about what you might say as we would walk through it together. It truly brings a smile to my face!
I think that you will always have the green thumb and I will always have the green toes!!! :) (From mowing the lawn in my flip flops)
Love you,
Kristin
My Mom is Jeanette. She is a breast cancer survivor of almost 25 years. When I was 5 she was diagnosed, and was only given 3-5 years to live at the most. She has said that we would have survived without her, but this blog is to show her that I wouldn't have been the same without her in my now 29 years of life. These are simple life lessons that I have learned from her.

Lesson #7 Sloppy Joes
Dear Jeanie,
About a week ago I made the famous Sloppy Joe recipe. It made me think of where that yummy recipe originated from. I have no clue why I remember this, because I think I was only about 8 at the time. We went to Belmont Springs with the McEvoy family. She made these yummy Sloppy Joe's and you got it from her.
I can't believe that the time has gone, and so has Sis. McEvoy. I got thinking that Sally and her sisters can't just hop on the phone and ask their mom questions about the recipe, or any other one for that fact. I am so incredibly blessed to hear your voice at the end of a rough day, or to hear you tell me your little secrets about cooking gravy, BBQ, or raising a family of 6 kids.
Love you,
Kristin
